For Chinese, the words evoke a sense of wonder, magic, and the divine. Audiences who have seen it recall the experience of a lifetime – a moment so powerfully beautiful it touches the soul. Discover the glory of a fantastically rich culture, that of classical China, brought to life in brilliantly choreographed dance and mesmerising, all-original orchestral compositions.  Magnificently costumed dancers – the world’s elite – move in poetic arrangements that evoke pastoral beauty, imperial drama, and the glory of an ancient civilisation.   This April, discover what art was meant to be. Discover Shen Yun.

London Coliseum: Los Vivancos – Flamenco Fusion @ London Coliseum
Jul 9 @ 7:00 pm – 10:45 pm

losvivancos

Los Vivancos have fast become one of Spain’s biggest global success stories, dancing up a storm and winning standing ovations from more than a million people to date. Now it’s London’s turn to fall under their spell as they premiere a good-versus-evil story set in the world of the paranormal and supernatural with the brothers playing angels, demons and vampires, at the London Coliseum for one night only on Tuesday July 9.

The choreography mixes fearless flamenco with ballet, martial arts, tap dance and a sprinkling of magic. The brothers have also composed the music in the show, a fusion of flamenco, rock and classical sounds. Los Vivancos play instruments on stage and are joined by seven female musicians, the Maszka Band, from Budapest. With costumes ranging from traditional to contemporary and lots of bare flesh on show, Los Vivancos is a spectacular, unforgettable production.

Douglas Thorpe’s Tender Crazy Love is a blistering duet set to a Tarantino-esque soundtrack of classic songs. Jose Agudo is one of the UK’s most exciting emerging choreographic talents. His new work Ki is a ferocious, ritualistic solo about a man seizing control of his destiny. Richard Alston is Artistic Director at contemporary dance centre The Place in London.
